Doug Wolaver

Doug Wolaver, age 81, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home in Diana.

He was a 3 time World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse Trainer and a lifelong Farmer. Doug was a quiet spoken man who simply minded his own business, but was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that was in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Myron “Pap” and Jean Clark Wolaver.

His survivors include his wife, Brenda Wakefield Wolaver of Diana, his brother, Jr. Wolaver and wife Gail of Diana, his sister Faye Davis of Nashville, his son Steve Wolaver of Diana, his daughter Kathy Wolaver of Cornersville, his granddaughter, Kerstie Wolaver, his sister-in-law Lisa Beech, and his nephews, Bryan and Blake Wolaver, Evan Beech, and Blake Gowan.

Visitation with the family will be held Monday, September 2, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 with the Burial to follow in Diana Cemetery.

Our prayers and thoughts are with the family. Doug was a great friend to daddy and mother. He was my first hero. He always there no listen and talk to during the horse shows. Doug and Billy Gray are riding in the BIG OVAL again.
