Ervin was born October 5, 1945, in Lawrenceburg, TN to Robert A. and Florence M. Travis Dickey. He loved driving semi-trucks for Sharp Transport before retiring, watching westerns, and talking on the phone, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ervin was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Florence Dickey and his brother, Norris Dickey and his wife Dorothy.
Visitation will be Wednesday October 21, 2026, from 2-4pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with Celebration of Life to follow at 4pm.
Survivors include his son Robert Dickey and wife Amy of Lawrenceburg; daughter Ommie Ward and husband Phillip of Pulaski; grandchildren Jeremy Ward (Avery), Cindy Warren (Levi), and Marie Dickey; great grandchildren Hadleigh Pope, Easton Warren, Joshua Clark, and Anna Clark; brothers Bobby Dickey (Glenda), Dalton Dickey (Marilyn); sisters Patricia Childress (Roland), Carlene Pitner (Bill), Carolyn Traglia (Jim); and numerous other relatives and friends.
