Joyce Ann Myers

Joyce was born in Athens, AL on September 27, 1963 to Charles Alton and Margie Anne Thornton Shokley. She worked for many years as a manager at McDonalds. Joyce had a love of going to yard sales, thrift stores, going out to eat steak at Betty’s in Columbia, and watching comedies or soap operas. She is preceded in death by her “Deddy” Cecil Watts; biological father Charles Shockley; grandchild Sophia Athena Abernathy; husband Kenneth Baker.

Visitation will be held 12-2pm on Sunday February 8, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Services following at 2pm. Interment will be in Hester's Chapel Cemetery.

Joyce is survived by her husband Richard Myers of Pulaski; mother Margie Watts of Pulaski, sons Bobby Brandon Abernathy (Wendy) of Pulaski, Brian Darrell Abernathy (Rachel) of Elkton; grandchildren Trent Abernathy, Lexi Abernathy, Isiah Abernathy, Connor Abernathy, Lukas Abernathy, Lilly Myers; great grandchild Luxton; brothers Farrell Watts (Loretta) of Riceville, Lynn Watts (Connie) or Lewisburg, Andy Watts of Pulaski, and C.J. Watts of Pulaski.
