Kenneth Wayne Baker Sr.
August 18, 1970 – May 22, 2011
Kenneth Wayne Baker Sr., age 40 of Minor Hill, passed away Sunday May 22, 2011 at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski. Mr. Baker was born August 18, 1970 in Houston Texas to Elmo J. Baker and Clara Mae Cummings Baker Chilton. He was a former employee of Frito Lay. Visitation will be Tuesday May 24, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday May 25, 2011 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Survivors include his wife Joyce Baker of Minor Hill, father Elmo Baker,Sr. and wife Nancy of Belfast, mother Mae Chilton and husband Marcus of Lewisburg, sons Kenneth Wayne Baker, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Brandon Abernathy of Pulaski, Brian Abernathy of Pulaski, brothers Elmo J. Baker, Jr. of Lewisburg, James Baker and wife Aimee of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, sister Tymna Baker Lee and husband Jackie of Lewisburg, grandchildren Trent Abernathy, Lexi Abernathy, Isaiah Abernathy, Wyatt Abernathy, niece Allycia Baker DeCaire and husband Justin of Tampa, Florida, nephew Christopher “Buster” Garrard of Memphis. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was one of the happiest and caring persons you could ever meet. If you needed him he would be there, if you needed a hug or cheering up call him, he's there. We miss you our big bear all 6' 5" and most of it heart. Tell everyone hey and our tears will flow a long time, sorry can't help it. Love Ya Aunt Paula

Well I knew him best as Elmo, I haven't seen him in years but he will be greatly missed and I will always remember him being there for the whole Hardin family when Steven and Billy died. I am just glad they both have a friend to spend their days with in heaven.
