Lelton Eugene Bailey

Dr. L. E. Bailey, born March 26, 1930, passed away Saturday March 26, 2011 at Pulaski NHC. He was born in Lawrence County Tennessee, a graduate of Loretto High School as well as Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa in 1959, May of 2010 was his 50th year practicing as a Chiropractor, he was a member of Pulaski 101 Masonic Lodge, Babe Ruth Hall of Fame, and First Baptist Church of Pulaski. Visitation will be Sunday March 27, 2011 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. His body will lie in state at First Baptist Church from 12 until funeral time at 1 p.m. on Monday March 28, 2011. Interment will be in Giles Memory Garden. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Helen Baker Bailey, sons Dr. Larry Bailey and wife Marilyn of Smyrna, Drs. Roger and Lorraine Bailey of Pulaski, daughters Phyllis Bost and husband Jerry of Pulaski, Tammy Haney and husband Dr. Doug Haney of Pulaski, daughter in-law Darlene Bailey of Murfreesboro, brother Dr. Keith Bailey and wife Patricia of Brentwood, sister Geneva Dorris of Franklin, sister-in-laws Joan Bailey and Nita Bailey both of Franklin, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Dr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents Paris Sims and Sarah Louise Bailey, one son Thomas Russell Bailey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund or Care Ministry, or to Martin Methodist College for the Russell Bailey Scholarship Fund. Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
