Lona Mae Glover Brewer, born November 1, 1919, in Giles County, TN, died on Monday, August 5, 2019, in Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Pulaski, TN. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ and retired from Maremont Gabriel, after 25 years. A native of Tennessee, she was preceded in death by her parents, David Matthew and Eva Candace Locke Glover, her husband, J. W. Brewer, her brother, Winford Glover, her sisters, Hortense Neeley, Imogene Gilliam, Mattie Ruth Tucker, Christine Hillhouse, and Charlotte McDougal, her daughter, Gwendolyn Daniel, her sons, Charles David and Donald Lee Brewer, her great grandson, Lance Daniel, nieces and cousins. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 8, 2019, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in New Shores Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, James Kendall Brewer of Pulaski, Larry Brewer of Pulaski, and Jackie (Suzette) Brewer of Lynnville, TN, her daughters, Betty (William) Birdsong of Pulaski, Sue (Collis) Terry of Huntsville, AL, Annette (Danny) Fralix, and Sheila (Danny) Towry of Pulaski, 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Fairview Church of Christ Building Fund, 1765 Industrial Loop Road, Pulaski, TN, 38478, or Memphis School of Preaching, 3950 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN, 38125.
