His parents were the late Samuel Buckner and Verna Lee Bevels Moore. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Samuel Brent Newton, his sister Mary Birdsong, and his brother Morgan Moore.
Survivors include his wife Orlean Moore of Elkton, his daughter Gail Newton & her husband Brent of Elkton, and several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Elkton Cemetery.
