Aunt Mae had this picture under her TV stand and always wanted to keep it there and she would always tell me that it won’t be moved and it will always be there when you walk in the door. Aunt Mae had me tied right there by her hip no matter what. Aunt Mae was the best aunt I could ever ask for. The closest niece that stayed with her during nights and the one she called “her little girl” at that time until her great niece(Taylin) was born. SHEP was the closest dog she ever had that I knew of and Mae would always say to me that you’re SHEPS second mother to me. I would always go out to Aunt Mae’s house almost every single day and when she worked at the water department reading meters in minor hill Tn I would always stand at my home storm door waiting for her to walk down the road and read my moms(Marcie) meter and I would always wave to her or make sure she seen me and she would always look to make sure I was standing at the door or on the porch waiting for her to see me with that big smile. The closest niece that she could always count on no matter what. We loved and will always love Aunt Mae forever. We will miss her dearly but always remember the memories and the favorite saying “Where’s My Little Girls At”.

Mae was so proud to see her great niece on that day and she loved her so much that when we would go see Aunt Mae,she would not want us to leave her at all.

The two closest nieces that she would always talk about and would always say where’s those little girls of mine.

Bless her heart. MaeBell never let me leave without a full stomach. She always asked me to stay longer and insisted I’d get up and eat breakfast if I did stay. She took me from a young age and made me feel like I was one of her own children all the way to my last visit from Texas. She hugged my wife, Jen, and treated her as she treated me all my life. My condolences to Greg and Barry you had the best kind of mom! I’m so sorry for your loss.  And to her brothers, sisters and Nieces, nephews, in-laws, I’m so sorry..  MaeBell is loved by anyone who knows her. A true caring heart.  She will remain spoken about and appreciated with high regard from me always. Love you MaeBell Gatlin McGee! You’re not an earth angel anymore  - you’re an angel of the heavens. Fly on high little lady!
