Martha Jeanette Casteel Goolsby

Jeanette was born in Liberty Hill, TN on December 15, 1942 to George Buford and Pearly Rose Nelson. She was a nurturing homemaker all her life who had a special knack for cooking and was a faithful member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents Buford and Pearly Nelson; husbands Garland Casteel and William Goolsby; siblings Marvin Nelson, Grady Nelson, Lillie Belle Featherstone, Drucilla Rhineheart, Edith Goats, Louise Keene.

Visitation will be 11-1pm on Wednesday May 28, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with a 1pm Funeral Service following. Interment will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Jeanette is survived by her son Billy Casteel (Paula) of Campbellsville; daughter Tammy Abdo (Pete) of Minor Hill; step daughters Pauline Cooper (Elmer) of Columbia, Peggy Tankersley of Nashville; brothers Leroy Nelson (Laquita) of Lawrenceburg, Wayne Nelson (Janie) of Loretta; sister Gracie Bee Phillips of Liberty Hill; grandsons Bryan Malone, Zachary Malone, Parker Casteel; step granddaughter Tiffany Abdo Dearing (Rick); great granddaughter Kenzie Dearing; 3 special friends Chelsey Cardin, Alex Brown, and Vicky Fralix; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
