My first clear memory of you is when I was probably 4 years old. I went with my parents to visit you at your home in TN. It was late at night and we met you at a gas station in town. The instant that we saw you, the biggest hugs were exchanged and you gave us the biggest smile. I will always remember your smile and the warmth that it always gave me. I went with you inside the gas station and you told me I could have any candy I wanted and as much as I wanted. You probably bought me 5 candy bars and then I rode with you to your house. To the last time I saw you from the first memory of your smile, when we walked in the room at the nursing home, you greeted us with that familiar smile that I will not soon forget. The memories flood my heart and I am so happy to have had an Aunt as special as you. I am thankful too that you will no longer suffer and you will now be forever free. I love you Aunt Mary. Fly high.

Aunt Mary, you were an amazing person. Whenever you would visit Cincinnati you would bring so much joy to the family. The last time I seen you was at Grandma Vivian’s funeral and you gave me an amazing hug. I will forever miss your hugs, your laughter and your beautiful soul. I love you and I will miss everything about you. Until we meet again.
Love always,
Sandra Carter
