Michael Darriel Filyaw Sr.

Michael was born in Valparaiso, FL on September 23, 1955 to Hugh and Nancy McNeese Filyaw. He retired from Nissan where he was in Tool and Die. Michael had a love of flying, NASA, music, NASCAR, RC cars, StarTrek, and most of all his family. He is preceded in death by his father Hugh Filyaw, and sister Cheryl Filyaw Davis.

Visitation will be held 12pm-2pm at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home on Thursday August 8, 2024 with Funeral Services starting at 2pm. Interment to follow at Elkton Cemetery.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Dawn Self Filyaw of Murfreesboro; mother Nancy Filyaw of Elkton; son Michael Filyaw Jr. of Nashville; daughters Lee Henderson (Kenneth) of Blanche, and Annie Rogers (Steven) of Fayetteville; sister Phyllis Fralix (Kenneth) of Elkton; nieces Amber Pruitt (Richard), Christy Johnson (Shane), and Tonya Novalis; grandchildren Leah Scott (Craig), Allie, and Grace Duncan(Caleb); great grandchildren Eli, Easton, Brynlee, and Kenny; great nieces and nephews Falyn, Ashlynn, Kaykay, Bryson, Alex.
