Mr. Porter was born August 19, 1936 in Tabor City, NC to Jessie Rodney and Eunice Cora Stephens Porter. He a United States Air Force Veteran, a retired computer programmer with Unisys, and preceded in death by his parents, one son Richard Porter, Jr., and one brother Elbert Porter.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 12, 2015 at the Nazarene Church in Livingston, Texas.
Survivors include his wife Betty Porter of Texas, son Randy Porter and wife Erika of Utah, daughter Melinda Malone and husband Donnie of Pulaski, granddaughter Ashley Porter and husband Chris Maichetti, ten other grandchildren, six great grandchildren, five siblings, and numerous other beloved friends and family members.
