He was born in Ardmore, TN, on April 30, 1919, retired from Maremont Gabriel Corp., served in US Army during World War II, his wife was the late Christine Dale Smith, his parents were the late Dee Wilson and Emma Pearl Parker Smith.
Visitation will begin at 10AM on Saturday, January 26, 2013, until funeral time at 1PM on Saturday at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Frankewing Cemetery.

Survivors are: Son, Randy Smith of Madison, TN, grandchildren, Justin, Joel, Jared, Rachel and Chloe, 7 great grandchildren.
