I will probably always regret being unable to speak at the memorial. Some mountains you just can't climb. I always thought my dad deserved a stronger son. I won't share a memory even though I have hundreds but I will write a testament to the man he was. When you are children and you hear stories of heroes. Men who despite the risk show extraordinary courage. A man who risks their own life to keep safe another. You won't find a book written about my dad but that isn't just the man I saw it is the man he truly was. There are many who live today because my dad lived then. I only regret that in his time of need nobody could have saved him from the hardest battle dad ever had to face. Dad I wish I could have been the one to save you after all you have done. I love you

I'll always remember that he could convince me to do anything, even if it was dangerous. Like climbing up on railroad bridge, catching rattlesnakes and riding bikes at 8 1/2 months pregnant with no brakes. Thank you for all the memories my friend, Stanley. I'll love you forever and see you in our sons.

I'm so sorry to hear about Stanley. I don't know how many time I have told the story of him catching that rattlesnake. He was something else he always had that little grin on his face. God bless this family during this time . If y'all need anything and I can help please let me know.
