Mrs. Chapman was born May 29, 1914 in the Choate’s Creek community to Walter and Inez Palmer Shelton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cecil Wilburn Chapman and son Grady Cletus Chapman.
Visitation will be Monday October 6, 2014 from 4-8 p.m.at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 1 pm Tuesday October 7, 2014 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include sons Jerry Chapman and wife Judy of Madison, TN, Ed Chapman of Nashville, Fred Chapman of Whites Creek, Charles Chapman of Nashville, daughters Mattie Lou Joiner and husband Dan of Nashville, Edith Tidwell and husband Lois of Lawrenceburg, eighteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and twenty-nine great great grandchildren.
