Vera Belle Pickett

Vera was born August 27, 1929 in Goodspring, TN to Neil B. and Anna Smith Simpson. She was retired from Frito Lay, member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, loved canning, gardening and sitting on her porch with her dog. Vera was preceded in death by her parents Neil and Anna, her husband James Carson Pickett, sons Eldridge Pickett, Don Pickett, grandchildren Chris Pickett, Linda Darnell, and 12 siblings.

Visitation will be 10am-1pm Saturday August 24, 2024 with Funeral Service to follow at 1pm. Interment will be in Minor Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons Randall Pickett (Brenda) of Goodspring, Paul Pickett (Robin) of Goodspring, Tim Pickett (Sandra) of Prospect, Jim Pickett (Janice) of Prospect, daughters Faye Johnson (Larry) of Ethridge, Kathy Darnell (Bubba) of Goodspring, Mary Woodard (Eddie) of Prospect, Evelyn May (Robert) of Pulaski. Daughter-in-law Shirley Pickett of Prospect, numerous grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
