Vestal F. Gowan

He was born in Pulaski, TN on August 16, 1920, served in the US Army, retired from Giles County Highway Dept. and Interstate Paving Company, his parents were the late Stanley and Bessie Blackburn Gowan.

Memorials may be made to Dr. C. W. Hart Scholarship Fund for Memphis School of Preaching, C/O East Hill Church of Christ.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5PM to 9PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 9-5-2013, at 11AM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Giles Memory Garden.

Survivors are: wife, Connie Gowan of Pulaski, TN, Sons, Franklin (Bubba) Gowan and wife Alice, Barry Gowan, Jeff Gowan & wife Angie all of Pulaski, TN, Randy Gowan & Wife Olive of Georgia, daughters, Shirley Sue Martin, Kay Beaver & husband Johnny, Jane Gaines, and Charlotte Stevenson all of Pulaski, TN, Samantha Brown & husband Dale of Columbia, TN, Shannon Dalton & husband Scott of Scottsboro, AL, brother, Stanley Gowan of Ohio, sisters Georganna Walls of Pulaski, TN, Sadie Mae Cole of Florida, 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
