Virginia was born in Pulaski, TN on September 9, 1961 to Sidney Hasting and Roberta Barnett Kellum. She found joy in spending time outdoors and appreciated life’s quieter pleasures. In her younger years, she played both softball and basketball and enjoyed staying active. She also loved walking, fishing, reading, doing word searches, and coloring. Whether she was reading a good book, tossing a line in the water or creating a colorful piece of art, Virginia found happiness in the moments that brought her peace. She never needed grand occasions to be content; her greatest joys were found in the simple things. Virginia lived a life that did not need to be extraordinary to be meaningful; she simply filled hers with quiet contentment, familiar comforts, and the people and things that brought her happiness. She is preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Roberta Kellum; sister Beulah Kellum.
A Graveside Service will be held 2pm on Wednesday June 24, 2026 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Virginia is survived by her brothers Charles Kellum of Tuscumbia, AL and Robert Kellum (Patsy) of St. Joseph, TN; sister Brenda Kellum of Columbus, OH; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
