He was born in Elkton, TN on February 10, 1947, retired after 32 years with Pulaski Electric System, Lance Corporal in US Marines, he was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Virginia Grace Hastings Rodgers, sister, Pamela Sue Rodgers Tucker, brother, William Clyde Rodgers, he was a member of Vietnam Veterans Association of Giles County, American Legion Post 60, Giles County Veterans Alliance, charter member of Marine Corp League of Giles County.

Visitation will be on Friday, 10-25-2013, from 10:30 am until 12:30pm, funeral will be at 1pm following visitation on Friday at the Carr & Erwin Chapel, with burial to follow in Elkton Cemetery.

Survivors are: wife, Shirley Faye Rodgers of Pulaski, TN, daughter, Kristie Fox and husband Shane of Pulaski, TN, brothers, Bobby Joe Rodgers of Elkmont, AL, James Dwight Rodgers and wife Lori of Ardmore, AL, Timothy Wayne Rodgers and wife Christy, Stephen Kendall Rodgers all of Elkton, TN, sisters, Virginia Ann Rodgers Smith and Billie Faye Rodgers Bass both of Elkton, TN, Mary Elizabeth Rodgers Storey and husband Wilber of Savannah, TN, Shelby Jean Rodgers Storey and husband Mike of Buckhead, GA, Brenda Joy Rodgers Secrest and husband Kenny of Columbia, TN, grandchild, Aaron Fox, special family members, Tim Tucker of Elkton, TN, Bill Bass of Fayetteville, TN, Judy Rodgers of Buckhead, GA, Jami Freeman of Ardmore, AL, several nieces and nephews.
