Coach Holt was my coach at BMS, like so many others. He always had us prepared and was a master at motivating players. He loved football and he loved ALL his players. He was a winner. He gave me my first coaching position as a volunteer in 1990. I had no idea what I was doing but, once again, I had a great teacher to learn from. He could be serious on the field but could break the tension with a funny joke or saying. After that first coaching experience I went on to coach for 24 years. Coach always encouraged me along the way. He affected so many players lives. He always gave 100% and kept his players in line with tough love. Motivating for Coach came easy, even on a 95 degree day in August. He coached with love. Thank God for football and thank God for Coach Bill Holt!
