OBITUARY

Alexander Michael Ferrara

June 29, 1952September 10, 2021

It is with my broken heart and sadness to announce the passing of my husband, Alex Ferrara. He will be remembered by all that knew him and loved him.

Alex is survived by his wife Lori, his mother Mary K. Ferrara, sister Mary A. Ferrara, brother Richard Ferrara, three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his father Vincent F. Ferrara, brothers Vincent and Joseph and son Alexander Jr.

Alex was a man with profound knowledge and his greatest happiness was helping people. No matter what time you needed him, he'd be there. His love of motorhomes brought him many friends around the world and he was actively involved in the GMC and GMCMI clubs which he adored. He loved to travel and for many years went from Florida to California and back with many stops along the way to see friends. One of his greatest joys was his little Yorkshire Terrier Martini who passed away in 2017.

He was a very determined man and his motto in life was always "It's my way or the highway".

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.kayspongerpg.com for the Ferrara family.

Such a heart of gold! Truly a man from a bygone era. When my friend Alex knew something, he knew it with a depth that few, if any could match, and when he did things, perfection was the minimum. I will miss the “hey, did you hear” calls, and his occasionally sharp remarks, occasionally punctuated with technicolor language. Opinionated. Motivated. A mover and shaker. A friend to some, and helpful to all. The world needs more like him, but the mold from whence he came is long gone. Until we meet again, Alex.

It is with the Greatest Heart Felt Sorrow to hear of Alex's passing. I met Alex at his "Man Cave" shortly after moving to Florida from Mn 7 years ago. I instantly took to Alex because of his kind ways and sincere character and personality. He always thought of others before himself and was genuinely a caring and giving person. I will miss you Alex and will be praying for Lori and you loved ones during this difficult time.

I will miss my friend Alex,He was a great friend and will be missed everyday. He was always concerned for the safety of others. He would drive great distances to and do repairs so people would arrive home safely. At rallies people would gather around him to have coffee and garner his knowledge.People trusted his repair knowledge and people from around the USA would seek him out for a repair at a rally or come to his man cave.He had great respect for the military and loved the USA.He always had time for a question and was a great cook. There are not enough words for me to describe the sorrow I have and how much I will miss my friend. I know that he will watch over lori and in his Alex way help her finish the house they were building.Psalm 23
