

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nawal Dubbaneh; his children: Charlie (Sabah) Dubbaneh, Usama (Marceline) Dubbaneh, and Hanada Dubbaneh; his grandchildren: Anthony (Megan) Dubbaneh, Matthew Dubbaneh, Kristin (Michael) DePaola, Emily (Jason) Bannister, Ashley Dubbaneh, Jonathan (Jami) Dubbaneh, Christopher (Katie) Fettus, and Jennifer Dubbaneh; his great-grandchildren: Nadia, Carmine, Charlie, Olivia, Michael, Leila, Alexander, Liam, and Charlotte; and his sister, Antoinette (Samaan) Petro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Khalil and Amel Dubbaneh, and his brothers George Dubbaneh and Salem Dubbaneh.
Anton attended Seminary in Germany and was ordained as a Lutheran minister in 1962. He then served as the Headmaster of Schneller School in Jordan, a school for orphans, and then at the Schneller School in Lebanon for a total of 10 years. Anton and his family moved to the United States in 1973, where he served as a Lutheran minister for a German/English speaking congregation in Maryland. In 1993, he retired to Florida, where he become a real estate investor. Anton enjoyed playing the piano, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Anton will take place on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 5 pm - 7 pm at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home; 635 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church; 2565 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, FL.
