

Arthur (Art) Lee Busier, age 79 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on May 2, 2025, at his residence. He was born June 20, 1945, in Carlsbad, NM.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, Lela and Harold Busier and sister, Lela Faye Gray.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Adams) Busier, and son, Scott Busier.
Art loved spending time at the Elks Lodge for fellowship and sharing stories. Much of his time was devoted to volunteering with the local Punta Gorda Elks and participating in the cleanup and restoration efforts after Hurricane Helene and Milton.
He was an enthusiastic reader who had a lifelong enthusiasm for learning. He cherished moments spent with family and friends, whether playing bridge and Rummikub, fishing, relaxing by the water, or in the pool. He also enjoyed working on various projects including, but not limited to, woodworking and landscaping. Art was always generous with his time. He was a reliable family source for sharpening everyone’s knives.
After serving in the military, he proudly dedicated 40 years to the Boeing Company in Seattle, WA. He also served on the board of Renton Technical College. Art rose through the ranks from an apprentice to a Blue Streak mechanic. Throughout his career he was instrumental in training and developing fellow employees in his role as a representative. His collaborative efforts ensured that training opportunities and creative development resources were accessible and aligned with the needs of others.
During his retirement, Art enjoyed traveling and staying in touch with dear friends across the U.S. Highlights of his travels with Carol included touring wineries in Napa County and exploring Alaska.
A celebration of Art’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, at Punta Gorda Elks Lodge.
