Austin Frederick O’Hanlon, 92, of Port Charlotte, Florida, and South Salem, New York, passed away on July 27, 2025.
Born on July 5, 1933, to the late Agnes and Horace O’Hanlon, Austin was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sondra, in May 2017. He loved her deeply, and in his final years longed to be by her side again.
He was a loving father to Kenneth (Angela), Thomas (Connie), Joseph (Julie), and daughter Ellen. He was a proud grandfather to Zachary (Faith), Katherine (Erik), Douglas (Emma), and Patricia, and was soon to be a great-grandfather. He was loved by his brothers and sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews. Above all, Austin wished for his family to live good lives and to keep moving forward, carrying his love and values with them.
Austin was an avid pilot, tennis player, and skilled woodworker.
A celebration of his life and burial will be held at a later date at South Salem Cemetery, New York.
