I’ve had trouble the last few months trying to catch my breath knowing that you’re gone and I’ll never hear your laugh or hug you again.  I find myself crying because I just want to pick up the phone and call you to come by for a glass of wine and talk about pointless things we thought were funny! You were a huge part of my life and my kids and they miss you too. You truly were more than just a best friend. You were like my sister and my soulmate of friend. Most didn’t understand us but together we were unstoppable and we loved each other unconditionally almost like an old married couple! People search a lifetime to have the friendship we had! Some never get to experience it all and no one will ever fill your shoes as my partner in crime! I know you are always with me but I miss knowing I’ll never have you at my side for the fun times ahead. I wanted to grow old with you and make more memories doing things only we found amusing!  The world will never be the same without you Cheri and I’m so glad we became friends as kids and got nearly 30 years together and sometimes being inseparable. You were one of a kind. You had the ability to make a boring moment fun and wild. You had the ability to make others laugh when they wanted to cry. You had the ability to make a dark day full of sunshine. I miss so much about you but know you are with me daily and I hope one day I’ll understand while you were taken from us all so soon.  I’m so glad two beautiful pieces of you were created in Taylese and Ava. They were your reason for every breath you took and as long as I’m alive I will make sure they know how much their mother loved them  and they were your greatest accomplishments! You wanted to accomplish so much more in life but you always said they made you mom and that made you complete in itself! There are not pages to write down my memories with you but I will hold them close to my heart and keep talking to your daily! Dirty girl, Dirty Birdy! Love ya kiddo! 

How do you put into words about someone like Cheri, that can’t be defined? I will do my best to even make an attempt at this . 
I met Cheri and Lauren, when I was 10 years old. We played on the same softball team, the Blue Jays. I remember thinking, this girl Cheri is the coolest cat I had ever seen. She was so strong, so pretty, energetic, and funny! And she had a younger goofy sister, named Lauren. I remember the times she and Lauren would show up late to games , running tucking in their jerseys , and throwing on their caps. I remember having to warm up with Cheri, catching. As much as I loved to be by where she was, I was scared to be on the receiving end of a ball from her. I can still picture her now, “you better catch that ball, don’t be so scared” in a stern tone ;) She was a stud at everything she did. I got to see a lot more of Cheri in years to come, as that goofy little sister and I became best friends. She would enjoy proving how strong she was to me, “hey Alicen, punch me as hard as you can!” My response, I think I’ll pass, then she would tell me if you don’t punch me , I’m going to punch you twice as hard and then kick your a##. She had the ability to make friends with anyone. She could literally go to the Waffle House and come out with plans to hang out with the waitress that she just met and know her entire life story in the time there. She always put a smile on my face, every time I would see her , it was like nothing had changed and we were back to acting like we were in high school. She had a heart of gold, she loved hard, and played hard. She made you smile, even if you didn’t feel like you could. She was loud , rambunctious, and just Cheri! I’ll never forget her laugh or how certain songs will hit me to my core when I hear them. I can’t put into words, why I am writing this about her instead of her being here and telling her to her face. There was a bigger plan for Cheri. One day we will know what it is, and I am maxed out at 2000 characters ..

We shared a room for 17 years. When we had separate beds, I would always crawl into your bed when I was scared. You would always steal all of the blankets. We would play frog and jump from each others beds. One day we got smart and decided to push our beds together to make one big bed, this way we could sleep right near one another. You always made me get up in the middle of the night and get you something to drink and there was no way that I could refuse you, so I would oblige begrudgingly. I never wanted to disappoint you. 

I was folding laundry the other day and a fond memory came to mind of when we used to fold our blankets and sheets together. We would both take an end of the blanket and each time we met to fold, we would give each-other a kiss..every single time. We made every single thing fun. That time we had head lice and we ran around the house singing the song we made up about buggy shampoo. You actually sent me a video a couple of months ago singing it. 

One of our recent text messages was when I sent you a photo of London looking like a goof and you text saying,  "She is an awesome little person. She's a little version of you. You were my favorite little person lol. Until I made my own of course." As life does, the little moments don't truly sink in until you have reason to reflect. As I reflect now about our memories and our life together,  this really defines what our relationship was like.  

We truly had an unconditional love. No matter the arguments or disagreements, we always loved each other for being who we are. What I miss most is the comfort of knowing that  I have you here for me. You always looked out for me and protected me, your Lolly, Lolly-Pop. 

She-Ra, Dottie, Chez-butt, Cher-Bear. My sister. You will always be my bird brother. I will love you forever and remember you always, until we share the same room again. 

You were so fierce and powerful, in everything you did. As a beautiful women, as a person, your uncontrollable energy was a magnet to anyone who was lucky enough to know you. Growing up I feared you when I wasn’t on your team and felt so protected and safe when I knew you were on my side. You were a huge part of my life when I needed you most. I would of never known what I was missing out on, not having a big sister, so grateful Lauren let me share you for awhile. Every time I ran into you years past, it was always an emotional reunion of stupid stories, you literally tackling me (to the ground) with hugs and promises to hang out again soon. I already miss knowing you’re not here on this earth anymore. I could of never imagined anything could of ever stopped Cheri Foley, still so unbelievable. God must of really needed you. This world will always be a little less bright without you here. xoxoxo

I didn’t know Cheri well, she and my Daughter went school together.  I’ve followed all the comments and outpouring of support for this family , and she’s the epitome of a life well lived and gone to soon, I feel like I know her through the comments, God Bless her friends, family and her beautiful children.

You were the most amazing woman, so full of life and love!! It was always a joy to have you in my life. I have many beautiful memories of you. You will forever live on in my heart! Love you!! 

I knew Cheri from the YMCA.  One day the Step Instructor did not show up.  Cheri didn't want to disappoint us, so she decided to teach the class.......On crutches.  Never forgot this.

Oh sweet, Cheri! I’m so sad to hear of your untimely passing. Even though we haven’t seen each other since high school, I can recall many great memories on the volleyball court with you. You were always so feisty and funny, so full of energy and life, and so wonderful and gorgeous in every way. Your beauty shined from the inside out. In fact, I can’t even remember a time when you did not have a radiant smile on that pretty face of yours. Your kindness, caring heart, affectionate ways were a blessing to me and so many others. You will be missed here on Earth, but we will meet again someday in Heaven no doubt! Until then, your memory will live on in our hearts. 

I will miss you dearly! Meeting you in high school was the best thing that ever happened. No one could ever be mad or sad around you cause no matter what mood they are in once they talk to you they will end up with a smile. The love you show for people is amazing. Till we meet again my friend!!

Cheri and I met a year ago when my husband and I bought property in Portcharlotte. Cheri said, "I was expecting an elderly couple." She and I had an instant friendship.  Cheri talked me into doing cartwheels with her at Hurricane Charlie's to celebrate the purchase of our property. I will cherish that video until I see you on the other side.  Cheri took a piece of my heart with her.  Gone too soon. 

We all know how OUR friendship began; rough! You and I butted heads so much in 6th grade! Always competing with each other. Then we got over it and realized we were so much alike. When you were on our Cheerleading squad in 8th grade you would spend the night at my house, and those little conversations I get to keep, just you and I know!! Such a beautiful person inside and out Cheri! I'm so lucky I gotta a little piece of your ray of life, such a bright ray too....

A lot of my memories with you were in Middle school when you were in band with us and playing the trumpet. You always had a smile on your face, laughing and joking and making sure everyone was right there with you.  Such an amazing person you were taken to soon. RIP Cheri you will be missed. 

Rest in peace beautiful you were always a great friend to me I met you in high school always make me laugh when I feeling down about myself then I saw you years later and didn't recognize me but then realized who I was. You always had a great personality about you gone way too soon. Fly high... miss you sweet friend. 

I met Cheri in middle school. She was a kind and loving person. We never hung out or anything but she would always say hello to everyone. The last time I saw her was at Dean's South of the border, she was doing one of her gig's. I was surprised she remembered me from school. She gave me a big hug! R.I.P Cheri gone to soon and will never be forgotten! Prayers and hugs to her family

Cheri was a wonderful woman and will be missed by all. Her smile was an contagious no one could be sad around her. Back in school I wasn't a part of the popular kids but whenever Cheri would see me in the halls she always would stop to ask how I was doing and give me a hug 

I’m sending everyone my condolences and prayers for comfort and healing along with healing energy to all. 

Such sad news. We have to let our memories become a treasure because we knew her and she was loved so.  Never knew anyone with so much energy and talents and interests.  Such a jack of many trades. I was blessed to get to know you for the short time we worked together. You were always bubbly and smiling. You had so much energy and such a big heart. You will be missed but never forgotten. 

Some of my greatest memories in high school is hanging out with you at your house, my house or the local party. You always had a smile on your face and a huge hug waiting. It was almost 20 years since I saw you last and it was like we never parted. I feel blessed for having you in my life those few years. I pray for your family and close friends. See you on the other side.

Cheri was a beautiful woman. Certainly outwardly she was stunning, but inside she had the most beautiful spirit of anyone I’ve ever known.  If anything was ever getting her down, you would never know because she had the most upbeat and positive personality ,  always seeing the good in everyone. I know I’m a better person for having known Cheri. I will miss you always and never forget you. Rest In Peace my sweet girl you are in heaven now. 

I met Cheri through Facebook. She always brought a smile to me with her smile and great posts! She is loved by many and is someone who will be greatly missed. She was a loving mom, great professional, and so much more.  She had such a giving spirit.  She blessed my life with her friendship and I am eternally greatful.❤️😃
