

She was born September 16, 1947. For the last 27 years, Darryl had made Punta Gorda, Fl her home. She, with her many friends and family, has thoroughly enjoyed the lifestyle of this laid-back community.
Darryl grew up in Wagontown, Pa, and graduated in 1965 from S. Horace Scott Sr. H.S., (Coatesville, Pa). After graduation she attended college at Pikeville University.
She married the love of her life, Raymond Lockhart, and they shared 52 years of marriage. They were married March 4, 1972; and for the next 25 years they accepted company transfers, and lived in St. Louis, Mo, Atlanta, Ga, Pittsburgh, Pa. and Coatesville, PA; prior to retiring.
After relocating to Punta Gorda, Fl. Darryl enjoyed and attended the First United Methodist Church. She loved life and enjoyed decorating and entertaining in her home, both family and friends, and always had a smile on her face and was quick to joke around and enjoyed making people laugh.
Darryl was a loving and caring Mother and Wife and will truly be missed by all, including her Grand Dogs, Asher, and Luna.
She was a former member of many social clubs in P.G, and the surrounding area. Twin Isles CC, Isles Yacht Club, Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club, Boat clubs, and served on and chaired various committees.
Darryl is survived by her husband, Raymond Lockhart, and her daughter, Melissa Lockhart (Tiffany).
Six cousins, Heather Wright (Craig), Arden Wright (Nik), Charlotte Bould, Susan Lord, Heather Armstrong and Merrily Hoover.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Jack F. and June (Holt) McCorkle, her loving Aunt Terre (Holt) Morris and Uncle Joseph H Morris Sr, of Coatesville, Pa, and her loving cousin, Joseph H. Morris, Jr. (Amanda).
Funeral service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to - Shriners Hospitals for Children, Wounded Warriors, or charity of your choice.
