Debra Kay Stewart

Debra is survived by her loving husband, David Stewart; her brother, Tony (Marjory) Sawyer; her sister, Cindy Wells; her brother Thomas Kay Wells; her stepdaughter, Bailey Stewart; stepson David Stewart Jr.; nieces Courtney (Mike) Wiedinger, Brittany (Jason) Wilburn, and Kay Sawyer (Tim Sullivan); nephew James (Chelsea) Sawyer; and many great Nieces and Nephews and her grandson Memphis; and many other cherished family members and friends.

Known to many as “DK,” Debbie was a mother to all who knew her. She had a deep love for the outdoors — fishing, spending time in the woods, pigs brought her great joy. Her heart was boundless; she loved fiercely and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She was the kind of person who left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Sawyer and George “Buddy” Wells, her brother Kennith James Sawyer, and her nephew Kennith “Austin”Sawyer.

Debbie will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at William Bissett Park in Punta Gorda. All who knew and loved DK are welcome to come share memories and honor her life
