Gorda, Wednesday July 26,2023. She was born February 23, 1926 in Summerville West
Virginia, a daughter of Ray and Amy Legg. She was the eldest of seven siblings.
Doris worked in Washington DC for the State Department before she married her husband Rex
Walters. They relocated to Hollywood Fl where they owned a car dealership for many years and
Doris became a Realtor. Doris moved to Punta Gorda in 1992 after her husband died. She sold
real estate for many decades. She was an active member of Sunshine Baptist Church and a
board member of Sunshine Villa HOA. Doris will be remembered for making deals and her love of her Dogs.
Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Fred Hunter Cemetery, Hollywood Memorial Gardens North, Hollywood Fl.
