Hildagard Adamczyk, age 101 of Punta Gorda, passed away April 10, 2021. She was born October 13, 1919 to William and Evelyn Mott in New Jersey. Hildagard graduated from East Hampton High School in New York. She went on to work as a Machinist at Pratt and Whitney. She was a true "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II. Hildegard was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Charlotte County Music Club, and was also a member of the Democratic Women's Club of Charlotte County. She enjoyed volunteering in the community, especially the Florida International Air Show and Life Care Center. Hildagard was a member of the antique Classic Car Club in Punta Gorda and loved to attend ribbon cutting ceremonies with Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce. Hildagard was preceded in death by her parents, William Mott and Evelyn (Southard) Mott; and her husband, Chester Adamczyk. Visitation for Hildagard will take place on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 11-12pm, with a service to follow at 12pm at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home; 635 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Interment will be at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens.
