James was a 40 year resident of Charlotte County. Before moving to Florida James had a sales career in Saginaw Michigan. James was a veteran of the Korean war. He served as a sergeant in the US army. He clearly enjoyed being married. He was married five times and cared for and outlived all of them, Stella, Marilyn, Alta, Lavon and Lorraine.
James is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Cindy VanHamlin(Tom) of Bokeelia FL and Judy Arden(Howard) of Hilton Head SC. Four grandchildren, Diane VanHamlin(John)of Estero FL, Stephen Van Hamlin of Atlanta GA, Drew Arden( Sandy) of San Diego, and Colbey Arden(Jess) of Southampton NY. Three great grandsons Dyllan,Justin and Brayden. Two great grandchildren, Deidre and Paxton. One great great grandson, Mason.
