

Kathy is survived by her husband of 51 years Henry Staron, daughter Necole Staron, Mother Mae Gossett, brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Donna Gossett and her two dogs Bella and Mia. She was preceded in death by father, David Harold Gossett, and brother David Gossett.
She graduated in 1970 from Allen Park High School. She was a real estate agent for Keller Williams over 15 years. She loved listing and selling homes to families in her community and being involved in such memories. She took great pride in her home, including planting and maintaining multiple varieties of flowers of which won her the City of Howell Blue Ribbon Award, an area renowned for beautiful homes and gardens.
Kathy was an avid artist from the age of 3 until death. She loved to draw and paint. She presented her creativity through beautiful paintings. She was a member of the Visual Arts Center of Punta Gorda, Florida where she participated in art gallery exhibits, won many prestigious art awards, including honorable mention for, “Sunday with My Baby” at the 2013 Firecracker exhibit. Kathy shared her talents with other artists at the studio and her community. She has many donated pieces which can be seen around the Punta Gorda community.
Kathy was a generous supporter of the American Cancer Society. She had many close family members conquer cancer, including her own survival of breast cancer.
Being a mother brought Kathy great joy and she was extremely proud of her daughter. She was a kindhearted and compassionate person, demonstrated by her lifetime of friendships. She could always make you smile and bring laughter to those around her through simple conversations.
Family and friends will meet at Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda, FL Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00 am for a memorial service, followed by luncheon.
