Bub was a proud graduate of Charlotte High School in 1963 and went on to carve out a remarkable career path as a self-employed entrepreneur, achieving lifelong success in his endeavors.
He was a man of many passions, finding joy and accomplishment in pursuits such as rodeo, fishing, hunting, golfing, and cowboying. Bub's skillfulness in these activities was a testament to his dedication and love for each one.
A natural storyteller, Bub never met a stranger, and his tales were the stuff of legends. He'd light up any room with his charm and endless anecdotes.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Cecil Gail (Smokey) Stover and Amy Catherine (Sisson) Stover. Bub is survived by his only son, Eric Allen Stover (Christi Lee Stover), along with his adored grandchildren, Allee Brooke Stover, and Colby Cash Stover. He is also survived by his brother, Gary Gail Stover as well as aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins.
In honor of Bub's wishes, there will be no formal service. His family will honor his memory by carrying out his request for cremation, followed by the scattering of his ashes in the back bays of Charlotte Harbor.
To celebrate Bub's life, the family will be hosting a celebration of life party on January 20th, 2024, at 27611 Lippizan Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. This is an open invitation to all who loved, knew, or were influenced by Bub (Lary) in his life with us, inviting them to join in commemorating the remarkable life he lived.
It was one hell of a ride and to all that got to be a part of it, may the memories live on with you for all your days!
