She lived a life defined by love, compassion, and caring for others. After raising three children of her own, she continued to open her home and her heart to her grandchildren, helping to raise several of them and welcoming them whenever they needed a safe and loving place to call home. Her family was at the center of her world, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the many generations she helped shape.

Caring for others wasn’t only part of who she was at home, it was also her life’s work. She spent her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, dedicating countless years to caring for others. Even at an age when most would have happily retired, she continued working with Visiting Angels, providing care and companionship to seniors. Caring for people came naturally to her, and she continued doing so for as long as she was able.

She also knew that one of the best ways to show love was through food, especially something sweet. She rarely arrived at a holiday or dinner invitation without a pie, cake, or dessert to share, and no one could visit her home without being offered a snack or a sweet treat.

Her generosity didn’t stop with people. She was a true lover of dogs and treated them like family, spoiling them shamelessly and sneaking them a little something to eat whenever she had the chance. Any dog lucky enough to cross her path quickly learned exactly who to sit beside when food was around.

As loving and selfless as she was, she also had a wonderfully spicy side. She was witty, feisty, and wasn’t afraid to let her personality shine. Those who knew and loved her will remember her kindness and generosity just as much as they’ll remember her sense of humor and the unmistakable personality she brought into every room.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Walter Paschke; her brother, Richard Paschke; her daughter-in-law, Mary Larsen; and her granddaughter, Crystal DeGregoria.

She is survived by her children, Laura Larsen, Alan (Darlene) Larsen, and Roy Larsen; her grandchildren, David (Jaime) Ledoux, Jessica Peacock, Felicia (Orlando) Rolon, James DeGregoria, Michelle (Christopher) Wilkerson, RJ Larsen, Tara Larsen, and Cody Larsen; eleven beloved great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Peter (Donna) Paschke, and her sister-in-law, Deborah Paschke.

Her life was one of giving—of her time, her home, her care, her food, and, most of all, her love. She leaves behind generations of family who are better because of the love she poured into them and countless memories that will be treasured for years to come.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever loved.

A Funeral Service will be held at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 635 E. Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950, US, on September 12, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

A Graveside Service will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952, US, on September 12, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
