

Born on November 24, 1932, in Flushing, Queens, New York City, Robert was the son of Edward Green and Marguerite (Doyle) Green, who preceded him in death.
He attended grammar school at St. Andrew's Catholic School and went on to graduate high school at Bishop Laughlin High School in Brooklyn. Robert later earned his law degree from St. John's Law School. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1959, completing Basic Training at Fort Hood, Texas, before being stationed in Germany.
Robert enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an Attorney in New York City, specializing in Criminal Defense. He earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to justice.
Outside of his profession, Robert loved boating, swimming, and all sports. He was a devoted New York Giants fan and longtime season ticket holder. He also enjoyed spending winters in Punta Gorda, Florida. Socializing always came natural to Robert, as he enjoyed the company of his friends and family. He treasured time with the many people whose lives he touched.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Karla (Alvheim) Green; his daughter, Tegan Green; his special niece, Pascal Sog; his beloved godchild, Dorothy Gullota; his brother-in-law, Arne Alvheim; his sisters-in-law, Ilya Broughton and Karoline Crawford; as well as his other cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Green and his wife, Marie Anne Green; his sister, Mary Story and her husband, Gene Story; and his sister, Peggy Green.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Flushing, Queens, New York, followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon. The date and time will be announced.
Robert will be remembered for his sharp mind, generous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
