Ron, who was born on April 24, 1952, is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo, his sons, Jason Ernest Allen, Ronald William Allen, and Robert Jessie Faiella, all in California, five grandchildren, and his sister, Robin Crowley in New Jersey
He served heroically in the Vietnam War as an army Tank Commander and was awarded three Purple Hearts for his service.
Ron’s many friends will sorely miss him for his unique sense of humor, his loyalty, and his willingness to help anyone, even people whom he didn’t know.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda and will be immediately followed by a Memorial Service. Ron will be buried in Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, with the funeral procession leaving right after the Memorial Service.
