Sharyn A (Barnes) Stearns passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on May 19, 1952, in Nashua, New Hampshire to the late Vernon and Davida Barnes.
Sharyn worked at Walmart for more than 30+ years before retiring. She then volunteered at Meadow Park Elementary School in Port Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Stearns Sr., and her sister Kimberly Barnes.
She is survived by her children, Scott Johnson (Jennifer), Keith Stearns (Julie), and David Stearns Jr. The joys of her life were further multiplied by her grandchildren, Renee Johnson (Kyle), Spencer Johnson (Karlenys), Shawn Johnson (Courtney), Sarah Stearns (Chance), Colton Stearns (Dakota), and her great-grandchildren Paisley, Elijah, and Eleanor. Sisters Maeilee, Leanne, Betsy, Christina (Ronnie), her brothers Rod (Denise) and Jeff (Louia) Barnes, and several nieces and nephews.
She will forever be remembered for her kindness and the unconditional love she gave freely. She will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
