Sheila Jane Sella

Sheila J. Sella, 63, of Punta Gorda, FL died December 6, 2023. She was born March 17, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to this area in 1960. Sheila retired from Life Care Center of Punta Gorda after 39 years of dedicated service as a Dietary Manager. Upon retirement, she became passionate about caring for her grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her father, William Ben Tyner (1997), mother, Dorthy Lee Tyner (2008), and her brother Randy Tyner (1977).

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, James P. Sella; Sons, James R. Sella (Maggie) and Steven W. Sella; Daughter, Julie L. Jones (James); Sister, Diane Stevens (Gary); Brother(s), Cecil "Wayne" Berryhill, Kenneth D. Tyner (Carrie). Grandchildren, Abigail, Jay, Charlee, Jasmine, Jaylee, and Jada; Nephews, Daniel Piner, Jason Piner, Devin Tyner, and Dylan Tyner all of Punta Gorda, FL. She also had several Cousins and Great Grandchildren.

The Visitation will be held from 10:00 am till 11:00 am, Wednesday December 20th, 2023 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Vargo officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery. The family has requested memorial donations to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
