

Tyler loved fishing, lobstering, spear fishing, hunting, ATV riding, was a PADI certified scuba diver and also loved to create music. The family spent many hours on the boat together fishing inshore/offshore. He was in his first deer stand at the wee age of 11 and took to shooting very quickly. He loved our family trips to the keys for mini lobster season and spear fishing and over time began to perfect the craft. Tyler and his father also were just short of winning an IFA Pro Redfish Tournament for an excellent second place finish. Tyler achieved a camo belt in karate at Shuman's ATA. He played basketball throughout his youth at the Harold Rec. Center. Tyler also played Pop-Warner Football with Port Charlotte Bandits and were divisional and regional champions several times during his tenure.
Tyler graduated from Charlotte High School where he received many academic and athletic awards. He was the captain of the defensive unit during his time playing for the Tarpons as well as playing on the basketball team.
Tyler worked for the family business as a lead carpenter for the past 10 years. He was a very passionate person that loved his family very much. As a very smart, funny and handsome young man his family loved him very much. Tyler cherished his faith and had a deep connection with God and always knew he was with him.
Tyler is survived by his parents, brother Wayne A. Kerry, Jr, niece Alannah, his Grandmother's Jacqueline Mackalica of Butler, Linda (Delmar) Perry of Butler, Grandfather Floyd (Debbie) Kerry, St. of Butler. His aunts and uncles, Lisa (David) Kelly, John, Carla (Mike), Dean (Lee), Heath and Michelle (Jim) and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John D. Mackalica, Sr. his cousin Chad Spahn and all of his great grandparents.
Celebration of life was Sunday March 10, 2019 2pm to 4pmat Kays-Ponger & Uselton in Punta Gorda, Fl. All are welcome to share a meal with the family at the moose lodge in Port Charlotte, Florida, following the celebration of life service. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday March 11, 2019 at 11am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, Florida.
