

Alan Grey Kimmel, of Graham, WA, passed away June 24, 2012, at age 84. Al was born in Oilton, OK, on October 1, 1927. He and his mother moved many times during his youth during the Great Depression. As an adult, he was a Marine, bus driver, high school history teacher, and founder of Northwest Cascade in Puyallup, WA. Al was the beloved husband of Helen (Hauge) Kimmel. His children are Jennie (Jim) Hannah, Beverly (Warwick) Utting, and Sue Ellen (Steve) Nichols; and step-children Robin (Michelle) Hague and Devieux Hauge. He was the inspirational and well-loved grandfather to: Heather, Andy, Bethany, William, Sharron, Christina, Jason, Allison, Tammy, Ryan, and Thressie (and also the great-grandfather of 15). A memorial service, open to all who wish to pay their respects, will be held at Lagerquist Concert Hall at Pacific Lutheran University on June 30, 2012, at 11:00am.
