

Carl was born April 13, 1929 in Ponca, Nebraska to Edward and Clara Heidy. He left surrounded by family for his heavenly home on February 5, 2011 in Puyallup, Washington. Carl was raised on a farm in Nebraska, and served a short time in the U. S. Navy. He married Faye Gregory and they moved to Washington and lived in Auburn for a number of years, then moved to Orting when he retired. Carl loved to travel and visited 17 countries while working for the Boeing Company, before retiring. He then volunteered with Labors for Christ, working with the Lutheran Church. He and Faye traveled all over the United States building schools and churches. He was a 51 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was loved and respected by his fellow Eagles for all his hard work and service. Holding office for several years in the Orting Eagles #3480, he always had a smile and a story for everyone. He touched the lives of many people, and he will never be forgotten. He leaves a host of friends and family, including his wife Dee, daughter Bev (Ken) Query, stepson Brad (Julie) Butler, stepdaughter Lori (Chuck) Bisping, grandchildren; Evan (Amy) Query, Shawn Query, Ian Query, Sara Wattenbarger, Dan Wattenbarger, and Derek Butler, one great-grandson Luke Query, two sisters, Olivia (Larry) Pailer and Ida Johnson and many nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Faye, brother Vernon, sisters Mildred, Eunice and Muriel. A celebration of Carl’s life will be Friday February 11, 2011 at 1:00 pm, at the Orting Eagles Hall. The family asks you to join them in paying tribute to this wonderful man.
