Darling Hazel Carpenter

Darling H. Carpenter, 92, a devoted mother and loving grandmother, was born July 4, 1923 in Harper, Kansas. She graduated from Harper High School. She was married and widowed twice; in 1950 and 1997. She resided in the Puyallup area since 1956, and passed away on April 22, 2016 peacefully in her home. She was a longtime member of the Puyallup Nazarene Church but more recently attended the Berean Baptist Church. She served faithfully in the church, always willing to be a friend to everyone. Fond memories were created at her kitchen table for family and friends, always being served a cup of tea or coffee with cookies, or a freshly baked desert. She lived as a “good and faithful servant” always giving unselfishly. Darling is survived by her six children; Darold, Dick, Don, Gloria, Carol and Dean; 19 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren; and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Thursday May 5th at 11:00 AM at Berean Baptist Church, 9702 128th St E Puyallup, WA with a reception following. There will also be a 2:00 PM graveside service at Firlane Memorial Park.
