Deborah Ruther (Phillips) Withers was born February 21st, 1960 in Great Falls, Montana to Richard Larry Phillips and Eidth Jeon Phillips. After moving to Washington Deborah started working at Top foods in Puyallup and has been there for the last 14 years. She had many people’s support for her cancer battle and enjoyed working in the bakery. She would often talk about people shopping there that were little kids when she met them when she worked at Love and Laughter Learning Center. She liked to hear what they were doing in their lives.
Deborah enjoyed going for rides and seeing new area’s that she had not seen before. One of her favorite areas was the Washington Coast. Although we couldn’t travel anymore she enjoyed talking about it.
Her cooking was always great. She always cooked better than a restaurant and took great pride in being able to do so.
Deborah was preceded in death by her Father Richard and her brother David Phillips. She is survived by her Husband Eric Withers, Mother Edith Phillips who resides in Hot Springs, MT, Father-in-law Robert and Amy Withers of Kent, WA, Mother-in-law Melva Withers of Anchorage, AK, Brothers Richard and his wife Diane Phillips of Thayer, MO, Paul Phillips of Las Vegas, and Jim Phillips of Hot Springs, MT, Brother-in-laws Kyle and Christy Withers of Milton, WA, and Michael and Marne Withers of Denver, CO, Sister-in-law Ruth and Brad Spees of Eagle River, AK, as well as many Nephews and Nieces.
Deborah would like to thank Dr. Michael Liao, Loan Retchless, and the staff of Partner Oncology for all of their honesty and helping her making the decisions that no one thinks they will ever have to make.
The bottom line is she was my wife and best friend and I miss her.
