

Debra Lee Minkler, 62 passed away June 29, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, surrounded by her family. Debbie was born in Moses Lake, WA on June 25, 1951 to Alton and Shirley Fraley. Being in an Air Force family, Debbie spent time in many parts of this country and the world. She lived in England, Japan, Virginia, Florida, Wyoming, Ohio, Arizona, back to the state of Washington and finally Las Vegas, Nevada where she lived for the past 5 years. Debbie graduated from Federal Way (WA) High School in 1969 and began working in the human resource field. She spent time with Weyerhaeuser, Puget Sound Bank, Key Bank and Homestreet Bank of Seattle. She was always a valued employee at each of these companies, and did her job with professionalism and compassion. On April 2, 1994, she married Douglas, and they spent the next 19 years having many adventures together, many of which were through Doug's job as Band Director of Bethel, Rogers and Emerald Ridge High Schools, where she was the greatest Band Mom you could hope for. Besides Douglas, Debbie is survived by her loving daughter Kristen Kennedy of Carnation, WA, her mother Shirley of Wofford Heights, CA, her sisters Tracy of Lacey, WA and Tricia of Lake Isabella, CA and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her spirit, energy, sense of humor and love for all her friends and family will be sorely missed. There will be a Celebration of Debbie's Life at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W. Pioneer Ave., Puyallup, WA 98371 at 11:00 A.M. On Sat., July 27. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Debbie's name to the American Cancer Society.
