

Our Father, Grandfather, and Friend, passed away on December 7th 2014, after living a full life of 93 years. He was born on May 27th 1921 in Saco, Montana to Amos and Pearl Robinson. He was one of nine children;three brothers Clarence, Carl and Marvin and five sisters, Alma, Mabel, Ethel, Delia, and Ruth. Glenn’s mother passed away when he was five years old, he along with Delia and his brother Carl went to live with his Grandparents on the farm in Canada. It is there that he attended school in a one room schoolhouse. After completing the seventh grade he left school to help work on the farm until 1942 when he enlisted in the US Army.Glenn served three years, part of which was in France and England during World War II. He received an honorable discharge in 1945. It was soon after that he went to work as a Meat Cutter at Carstens Packing Company (which later became Hygrade Foods) until he retired on May 27, 1983.Glenn met Esther while serving as a guard at Fort Lewis, Washington. They were married June 26th 1943 and celebrated 53 years together.Glenn’s love for fishing has followed him throughout his life as he has always managed to cast his line where ever he may be. He often talked of his fishing buddies, and the fish stories they’d all tell. Glenn in his 93 years was active in 3 church homes, Calvary Baptist, Bethany Open Bible both of Tacoma and Sound Life of Spanaway. He was preceded in death by his wife Esther in 1996, his son Larry in 1978, 3 brothers and 3 sisters throughout the years. He is survived by two sisters Delia Grundhauser, Spokane, WA; Ruth Robson, Glendive MT; daughter, Karen (Harold) Hasfjord; son, Dennis Robinson, Tacoma, WA; 2 grandchildren, Jenni Stovall and Glenn (Jennifer) Hasfjord; eight great grandchildren, Amelia, Jacob, Keifer, Lucas, Sarah, Alex, Alyssa, and Austin and was soon to be a great, great grandfather. Our Dad, Grandfather, and Friend will be deeply missed.
