

Homer was born November 3rd, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Breckenridge High School in San Antonio in 1948. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on August 10, 1950 and was a Flight Engineer on the B-29 until 1954. After the Air Force, Homer was recruited by the Boeing Company where he worked on the B-52’s and was a supervisor on the first 747. He then transferred to Vandenberg Air Force Base where he was a supervisor on the missile program. Homer retired from Boeing after more than 35 years of service in the Santa Maria area, and was involved in the Elks, Oasis Senior Center, and was on the Foxenwoods Homeowners Association until moving up to the Seattle area in 2015. Homer lived his last few years with his wife Bertha and their son Homer Jr. He was an avid sports and aviation enthusiast. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Homer is survived by his daughter Theresa of Seattle, WA, and two sons; Homer Jr. of Seattle, WA, and Robert of Phoenix, AZ, as well as his wife Bertha of Seattle, WA.
