

He was a 1953 Renton High grad, also Central WA College, PLU, and received his doctorate from the U. of Hawaii-Anchorage.
Some of many careers included Boeing, Gray’s Harbor Co. sheriff, SWAT, prison guard, coaching/teaching and was a therapist at the Alaskan Psychiatric Institute in Anchorage when retiring in 1994. He spent the last 15 yrs volunteering his services at Good Samaritan Mental Health Clinic in Puyallup.
Louie was a life long member of King Co Fire Dist #20 and the Bryn Mawr Methodist Church.
His many interests included; 1960s Boeing Sky Diving Club, scuba diving, Gray’s Harbor Co 4-H, Scottish Highland Games heavy events Master’s participant (5 states, 2 countries), Alaska Pipe and Drum Corp, Anchorage Little League state champ coach, Alaska Old Timer’s baseball league.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by wife Pat (Hawkins), of 60 years and children Mike, Patty Holyan, Steve, Jeff, Brandon and spouses. Grandchildren Jessica, Joseph, Jordan and Jocelynn. Also, sister Phyllis Harrington, his nieces Barbara Harrington and JoAnn (Jeremy) Ehrmantrout, great-nephew Gage and great-niece Samantha. And the Miller family.
Louie’s passions were the Campbell Clan and playing chess with his friend, Rich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bryn Mawr Methodist Church, 8016 So. 116th St. Seattle WA 98178, where a memorial will be held April 5 2014, 1:00.
