Norman Daggett, 83, of Edmonds completed his earthly life journey on April 20, 2013 and has begun his new peaceful life, welcomed and embraced by God.Norm was born on January 14, 1930 in Tacoma, Washington to Lawrence and Hilda Thompson and lived many places in his adult years. His mom died when Norm was a young child. He was a wonderful husband to Marie (Fenstermacher) Daggett, his first wife of 47 years until her death in 1999. He was the proud father of David (Jeannine) Daggett and a loving grandfather to Jenson Daggett. Norm married Jacy (Newall) Daggett in 2001 and became the stepfather to Kim Newell and Scott Newell. Norm is survived by his siblings, Ruthie Daggett and Paul (Vicky) Daggett and his numerous nieces and nephews.
Norm will be remembered as the gentle, kind old soul that he was in all his phases of life, including his last several years of living with Alzheimer’s. He was a pilot for World, NW, and Pan Am Airlines until he retired as a Captain. He built cars, small airplanes, houses and a family. He was a garage putterer. We will miss him greatly and are so thankful to God for connecting Norm’s life with ours.
