

Reno J. Daoro, 93, of Puyallup, passed away on July 7, 2014. He was born on April 7, 1921 in Ferndale, California to Phillip and Palmina (Del Notaro) Daoro. A graduate of Ferndale High class of 1939 he served in the US Navy during WWII. He married Margaret Guglielmino on February 5th, 1949 in Portland, Oregon.
He worked for Colonial Gardens until they disbanded due to construction of Interstate 5. He later worked as a self-employed truck farmer growing vegetables on Sauvies Island near Portland, and finally retiring from wholesale produce. An avid sports fan, when not working or spending time with his family, he enjoyed bowling, gardening, wood working and rooting for his Huskies.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Daoro of Puyallup; son, Paul Daoro of Ferndale, CA; daughters Phyllis (Bruce) Thomson of Aloha, OR, Julie (Edward) Boitano of Tacoma, Deana (Michael) Hall of Banks, Oregon; grandchildren; Andrea (Thomas) Donovan, Stacey (Bob) Teter, Anthony (Megan) Boitano, Jeff (Rebecca) Thomson, Ryan Daoro, Jared Daoro, Timmy Stowell, Christopher Boitano, Terin Stowell and Melanie Hall; great grandchildren, Marshall Teter, Evan Teter, Dillon Boitano, Addison Donovan and Thomas Donovan.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 14th at 1:00 at All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup. Private inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
