Words can not express how much I love and will miss my uncle Richard....He was always so good to me and my brother and sister.  We all truly love him like a "Dad".  He was always so funny and gruff but yet you knew he had the heart of a Lion !  My heart goes out for Jane and the boys....I know he is in a better place and we will all be together again someday ! Oly, was a great guy who I could always count on, he was a hard worker and was willing to help anyone anytime. We worked together at PSNS for along time and had a lot of fun and laughs together. I will miss you Oly.

Oly and I work together as weldors at PSNS for many years. He was always fun to be with, either at work or off work.
He would always make everybody laugh. I remember when He ane Jane would come
and spent time with us wether celebrating our kids birthdays or just 
hanging out and having good times.
I'm always thankful for Oly's respectfulness and being such a good friend. He will be greatly miss and 
remembered in our hearts.

My family lived across 68th street from Dick and family in the 70s. as I remember, he was always ready with a good joke or two. I remember one morning when Dick went out to raise his flag, my dad had set up a record player upstairs at our house, pointed the speakers out the window and played the Star Spangled Banner while Dick raised the flag. I remeber my Dad being pretty pleased with his efforts and i think Dick liked it also. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family through this difficult time. also can i have the motor home.

I am very sorry to here that Richard (Oly) passed. I just heard yesturday that he was not able to live at home any more and I was trying to find out where he was so I could go see him. He was always a pleasure to work with and be around and he made work much more enjoyable. He had that gruff exterior but he had a very large heart once you got to know him. We had talked about getting together a few times after he retired but we never did and I regret the fact that I got caught up in the rat race and never made that happen. Once again I am sorry for your loss.

I spent many years working with Oly at PSNS. One thing for sure, things were anything but boring with Oly on the crew. Some of my fondest memories working at the shipyard include Oly. I always enjoyed working next to him and he was a good friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
