Tommie Gean Gardner, 85, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, in Port Charlotte, Fla.

She was born May 21, 1929, in Haskell, Texas, to Tom and Lily Medford.

Tommie graduated from floral school in Portland, Ore., in 1989. She moved to Sumner, Wash., where she grew beautiful flowers to make arrangements for family and friends. She also worked at a local nursery during the holiday season. Tommie lived in Sumner until 2011; she then moved to Punta Gorda, Fla., to live with her daughter, Cindy, and son-in-law, John. Tommie was dearly loved by her family and will be missed.

Tommie is survived her sister, Bonnie; brother, Jessie; daughters, Pat, Louise, Jean and Cindy; sons, Bill and Danny; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
